Session description
If you decide to quote the words of an external source, give them the due respect and acknowledgement by specifying the source.
- The session will kick off with a brief introduction to the work done by the Dynamic Coalition on Platform Responsibility (i.e., Recommendations on ToS and HR) as a reference in the backdrop of this meeting.
- Mr. Frank La Rue (Assistant Director-General for Communication and Information, UNESCO) will give a short keynote on the role of intermediaries and ToS in the digital environment.
- Mr. Brendan Van Alsenoy (PhD Researcher, Centre for IT & IP Law, KU Leuven) will present about the case brought by the Belgian Data Protection Authority against Facebook, following a report on Facebook's ToS (commissioned by the Authority) which he co-authored with other colleagues (see)
