Elisabeth Schauermann holds a Bachelor’s degree in Transcultural Communication and a Master’s degree in Global Studies from the University of Graz, Austria. Her academic focus lies on human rights law and international relations theory, with environmental sustainability as a subsidiary subject. In 2015, through the work on her thesis on legal restrictions to human rights on the Internet, Elisabeth was first exposed to the Internet Governance sphere. The participation as a fellow in the European Summer School on Internet Governance and an ensuing fellowship to the Internet Governance Forum in 2016 have since paved the way for further involvement.
