Information communication technologies (ICT) open up enormous opportunities for both social and economic development. However, at the same time they pose threats risking the safety and security, including privacy, of users by creating new vectors for cyberattacks. During the session, from different stakeholder groups’ perspectives, we will discuss users’ perceptions and concerns of the risks in cyberspace and identify the challenges in addressing them, and explore existing and possible future solutions to ensure users’ confidence and trust when using ICTs and going online.
