Towards a sustainable governance of the Internet

The next EuroDIG will take place from 10–12 June 2020 in Trieste, Italy. It will be hosted by and on the campus of The Abdus Salam International Centre for Theoretical Physics (ICTP) in cooperation with Scuola Internazionale Superiore di Studi Avanzati (SISSA), the EuroScience Open Forum (ESOF) as well as the Department of Engineering and Architecture and the STeDIC Interdepartmental Center of the University of Trieste.

Trieste is the European City of Science in 2020 and EuroDIG will be a satellite event in the overall programme.

The overarching theme for EuroDIG 2020 is: “Towards a sustainable governance of the Internet” – and is aligning with the themes that have been identified by the EuroScience Open Forum.

During the period from 1 October – 8 December 2019 we received 179 submissions on the joint call of issues for the EuroDIG and SEEDIG 2020 programme planning. Subject Matter Experts will review all proposals that where submitted for EuroDIG and cluster them into thematic subtopics.

Next step is the planning meeting in Trieste where the draft programme for EuroDIG 2020 will be formed. All stakeholders are invited to participate.

EuroDIG is not a conference; it is a year round dialogue of European stakeholders, where everyone is welcome to join at any stage. Find out more about the EuroDIG participation process and get involved!
