Christoph Riedmann has been Policy Advisor for Digital Policy and Company Law at EUROCHAMBRES since 2018. Besides lobbying relentlessly for European SMEs on legislative projects in the digital field, such as the Fairness-Business-Regulation, he has encouraged Chambers of Commerce and Industry from across Europe to digitize their service offers for companies and exchange their best practices.
After completing his studies of law and languages in Innsbruck, Christoph worked for the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber WKÖ, the Austrian Permanent Representation to the EU, the European Commission and the European Association of Technology Industries ORGALIM.
Christoph, who speaks German, English, French, Russian and some Spanish likes traveling and - having grown up in Western Austria - enjoys being in the mountains in any season.

Biographical Information

Auke Pals

Giacomo Mazzone

Current title: Secretary General of Eurovisioni and Global project manager at UNDRR United Nations Disaster Risk Reduction, in charge of the project Media Saving Lives.

He is Member of the Advisory Board of the EDMO – European Digital Media Observatory, Member of the Advisory Board of Vatican Foundation CAPP, in charge of media, Member of the EuroDIG Board, Secretary General of Eurovisioni and former head of institutional and members relations south at EBU-DGO.

  • In particular has been responsible for EBU of the 2 UN Summit on Information Society (Geneva 2003, Tunis 2005), and then has been media partner of the IGF since its inception in Athens 2006.
  • Founder member of the EuroDIG in 2008, has been IGF MAG member (2014-2016) under appointment of the UN Secretary General Ban Ki Moon, as representative of the media sector.
  • Member of the CWG-COP of the ITU, special group of the ITU in charge of child protection in the broadcasting an internet world
  • Member as observer of the GAC of ICANN as representative of WBU (World Broadcasting Union).

Publications: resource expert for APC, authors of the Gis-Watch yearly report for Italy; 10 books published on various arguments related to media, Internet Governance, public service, Child on-Line protection and cultural diversity.

Hendrik Ike

Hendrik Ike is a Public Affairs Specialist who works for GÉANT, a European association which serves the research and education networking community by providing connectivity and developing services. GÉANT's essential terabit-ready network is the most advanced and well-connected research and education network in the world. Hendrik is responsible for developing and maintaining channels of communication with European institutions and the National Research and Education Network community, and is also responsible for GÉANT’s positioning towards global Internet Governance.

Marcel Krummenauer

Marcel Krummenauer is a "Big Data & Business Analytics" student from Frankfurt am Main. Since the beginning of his bachelor studies, he has been working in the IT department of a medium-sized life science company. He is also a member of the German Informatics Society (Gesellschaft für Informatik) and is involved in data protection and sustainability in the YIGF-D, among other things.

Michael J. Oghia

Michael J. Oghia is a Belgrade-based consultant, editor, researcher, speaker, and ICT sustainability advocate working within the digital policy & infrastructure, Internet governance, and media development ecosystems. He is the External Relations Coordinator at the Sustainable Digital Infrastructure Alliance (SDIA), a member of the Steering Committee of the Internet Rights and Principles Coalition (IRPC), a contributor to EuroDIG's Greening Internet Governance intersessional work, and an Associate Member of the EuroDIG Support Organisation.

Pierpaolo Marchese

As of today, I am an independent ICT Consultant. Recently, I have been part of the ETSI Board of Directors, for TIM SpA and I cooperate with industry and academy stakeholders on Standards for future Networks. My current interests include 5G Mobile Technologies, Virtualisation, Industry 4.0, Internet of Things, Automotive and ICT, Artificial Intelligence, Technology dissemination within SME.

Born in 1960, I graduated in ICT Engineering. For more than 33 years I was part of TIM S.p.A Group with various team and management responsibilities in Technology and R&D departments, including Network Standard Coordination and IPR and R&D project portfolio management.

Sebastian Schwemer

Sebastian is Associate Professor at the Centre for Information and Innovation Law (CIIR) at the University of Copenhagen and Adjunct Associate Professor at the University of Oslo’s Norwegian Research Center for Computers and Law (NRCCL). Sebastian is interested in the regulation of & by technology. His research focuses on this intersection of regulation, technology and society – especially related to information on the Internet, intermediaries, decentralized systems and automation. In 2020, he advised the European Commission in relation to the revision of the e-Commerce Directive (Digital Service Act).

Vittorio Bertola

Vittorio Bertola is the Head of Policy & Innovation at Open-Xchange, the world’s leading provider of open source email and DNS solutions for hosting, service provider and telecommunication companies, where he develops and promotes new technical standards and advocates an open Internet based on user choice, privacy and federation. In the last twenty years he was involved with several Internet startups and served in many Internet governance organizations, including the ICANN Board and the United Nations Working Group on Internet Governance.
