Format

Until . Please try out new interactive formats. EuroDIG is about dialogue not about statements, presentations and speeches. Workshops should not be organised as a small plenary.

The session will start with a 5 minute introduction which will present the state of the issue, which is followed by a 15 minute discussion with EuroDIG participants who can raise their concerns in an open mic style. Afterwards, there will be key participant interventions of 5 minutes, followed by 15 minutes of audience engagement, which is concluded by the key participants and the moderator.

Many of the issues that will be subject of PL 2 were aired last night at a revealing and pretty much unprecedented hearing in the U.S. Senate where 44 Senators from the Judiciary and Commerce Committees grilled Mark Zuckerberg for 4 hours, with more to come today from the House side. One of the questions that came to mind: are we now in for more government regulation of the platforms, also in the U.S.? I also noted that GDPR got favorable mentions from some Senators...
