About the venue

The event will take place at the Conference Center of the Federal Foreign Office, entrance Unterwasserstrasse 10, 10117 Berlin, Germany.

It is located at the very heart of the capital of Germany, where using public transport is the best choice in most cases. The nearest subway station to the conference venue is the U2 (red line) stop Spittelmarkt. See location in Open Street Map

How to get to the conference venue:

From Tegel Airport (TXL): In front of terminal A/B the bus line TXL will get you to the heart of the city within 33 minutes. You need a local transport ticket category AB (2,40 EUR). Please note that ticket machines and bus drivers do not accept credit cards (Maestro debit cards are accepted at ticket machines). Please leave the bus at Staatsoper/Unter den Linden, and walk in the direction of the bus until you reach the channel (2 mins). Right before the channel, turn right (Schinkelplatz). From there you have to keep walking next to the channel (5 mins) until you reach the entrance at Unterwasserstraße 10.

If you prefer to go by taxi, it will take you about 35 minutes for about 30 EUR. Please note that many Berlin taxi drivers only accept cash, no credit cards.

From Schönefeld Airport (SXF): From Schönefeld Airport, regional trains will bring you to Alexanderplatz in 22 Minutes, leaving every 20-30 minutes (RB14, RE7). Do not use the “S-Bahn” local trains, they take much longer! You need a local transport ticket category ABC (3,10 EUR). Please note that ticket machines and bus drivers do not accept credit cards (Maestro debit cards are accepted at ticket machines). At Alexanderplatz, change to U2 subway line (direction: Ruhleben) and leave at Spittelmarkt station in the same direction as the train. At the exit, cross the big street next to you and turn right. When you reach the channel, turn left and walk along the street by the channel.

From Hauptbahnhof (Berlin Central Station): S-Bahn will bring you from Hauptbahnhof to Alexanderplatz in 5 Minutes, leaving every few minutes from platform 15. You need a local transport ticket category AB (2,40 EUR). Please note that ticket machines and bus drivers do not accept credit cards (Maestro debit cards are accepted at ticket machines). At Alexanderplatz, change to U2 subway line (direction: Ruhleben) and leave at Spittelmarkt station in the same direction as the train. At the exit, cross the big street next to you and turn right.
