Lead for WRC and ITU-R matters for Amazon’s Project Kuiper at Amazon

Alex Epshteyn, Head, International WRC Spectrum Strategy is the lead for WRC and ITU-R matters for Amazon’s Project Kuiper, an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low latency, high quality broadband connectivity worldwide. In this role, he leads a team with responsibility for defining the strategy, developing technical studies, and developing contributions related to WRC Agenda Items and ITU activities for ITU working parties and regional groups.

Prior to this role, Alex Epshteyn was a satellite systems spectrum management engineer at the Boeing Company. He was the subject matter expert for all satellite telecommunications regulatory issues for the Boeing Company and in this role is responsible for overseeing and assisting Boeing commercial satellite projects on issues related to the filing and management of satellite orbits and satellite spectrum. In previous positions, Mr. Epshteyn was a senior engineer supporting NASA regulatory efforts.
