The South Eastern European Dialogue on Internet Governance is a regional IGF initiative dedicated to open, inclusive and informal dialogue on Internet governance issues among all interested stakeholders in South Eastern Europe (SEE) and the neighbouring area. SEEDIG is scheduled to take place in Sofia, on 3 June 2015, as a pre-event to the eight European Dialogue on Internet Governance – EuroDIG (4-5 June 2015), and is organised by a committee representing various stakeholder groups from the region, with the cooperation of the EuroDIG Secretariat, the Bulgarian Ministry of Transport, Information Technology and Communications, and UNICART.

In order to be considered for funding, a candidate must meet the following criteria:

*is affiliated with one of the following stakeholder groups: civil society, government, technical community, private sector;
*is from a least developed country, developing country or transitional economy in South Eastern Europe or the neighbouring area;
*submits an expression of interest, as mentioned above.
 
If the requests for funding (meeting the above criteria) exceed the available funds, a selection of funded participants will be made on the basis of the expressions of interest provided, and taking into account the need to achieve a diversity of participants, in terms of:
*geography (countries represented);
*stakeholder groups represented;
*gender balance;
*youth representation;
*balance between newcomers (individuals who have not previously participated in EuroDIG meetings) and experienced participants.
 
Preference may be given to requestors who only require partial funding (i.e. a request to cover only the cost of the airfare ticket or the cost of accommodation).

Call for expressions of interest for a fellowship at the IGF Secretariat

SEEDIG has been invited to nominate a number of candidates from South Eastern Europe for a fellowship at the IGF Secretariat in Geneva. Stakeholders from South Eastern Europe who have a strong interest in Internet governance and would like to be considered for such a fellowship were invited to submit their expressions of interest.
