This is the discussion and notes site of the session: Workshop 6: IG initiatives guidelines, best practice, common ground
We had a long discussion on what we want to achieve through this workshop and how should it be organized in a constructive and fruitful way.
We started with the idea of drafting a skeleton-like document for the actual  guidelines before EuroDIG, but as we aren't in the capacity to decide either on the content nor on the components of this guideline (for that we need a big number of national IGF organizers/representatives), we changed the direction and agreed that the F2F workshop should serve as a place for gathering the input from various european IG initiatives (who we assume to have in the room) on -- what what should be the content of this guideline -- and this organizing team will not draft anything before. Instead, we will proceed step-by-step with organizing this workshop and deciding on it's items as followed:
