We have agreed during previous discussions that this workshop should serve as a place for gathering inputs from various IG(F)s - for the purpose of preparing the so-called 'guideline paper’. During the last call we continued structuring the content of this workshop and came up with following ideas.
-> We will divide this workshop into three parts: I. Mapping: discussing how does the European IG ecosystem look like. General introduction. II. Collecting the information: how are national/sub-regional/region IG(F) organized in Europe — identifying the issues and gaps; tools and forms of organizing. III. Policy Discussion: what is the DNA of an IGF/IG initiative. What makes an (successful) IGF an IGF (best practices) and how can support organization support and add values into the DNA of an IG(F).
-> We agreed that I will be conducting some pre-work before the actual workshop: contacting national IGF initiatives and gathering information on/from the European IG initiatives beforehand.
