Format

There will be two interventions of 20 minutes hosted by each of the speakers followed by a discussion. We will then go into breakout rooms in which the participants can discuss with each other the intersection between technology and principles.

Key Contributors:

• Minda Moreira is the current co-chair of the Internet Rights and Principles Coalition (IRPC) based at the UN Internet Governance Forum, where she supports the outreach effort of this Coalition’s and its main output document: The Charter of Human Rights and Principles for the Internet. She holds a ​Master's Degree in Global Media and Transnational Communications from Goldsmiths, University of London and she is currently a postgraduate law student at Queen Mary’s, University of London, specialising in Human Rights Law. Alongside her interests in human rights, Internet governance and media, she is also an advocate for environmental protection and sustainability. As IRPC co-chair she organised and coordinated various meetings, workshops and high-level sessions both at the IGF and EuroDIG to highlight issues at the intersection of environmental sustainability, internet-connected technologies and human rights and she is among the co-founders of the Dynamic Coalition on Environment (DCE).
• Gergana Petrova is an External Relations Officer at the RIPE NCC. As part of the External Relations team, she helps lead the RIPE NCC's engagement with a broad range of stakeholders, including the RIPE NCC membership, the RIPE community, government, law enforcement and other Internet stakeholders. Gergana also coordinates the RIPE Academic Cooperation Initiative (RACI) – an initiative that connects researchers and academics with the RIPE community.
