Education session: concepts in Internet infrastructure

Session description

Everybody always talks about DNS en routing, but what are those really? In this session we will explain some of the fundamental parts of the Internet technical infrastructure in a non-technical way. We will take a glimpse behind the scenes and reveal what goes on in the background when you point your webbrowser for instance to www.eurodig.org. How does your computer know where to find that webserver and how does the network make sure your data packets arrive at the correct place?
