Session teaser

The session led by Pekka Kallioniemi will provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of information operations, disinformation, and propaganda. Specifically, it will cover the general concepts and objectives underlying these activities. Additionally, the session will explore how pro-Kremlin actors and organizations utilize social media to disseminate disinformation and propaganda. Furthermore, it will shed light on the mechanisms through which social media platforms facilitate the rapid spread of such false narratives.

Lastly, the session will highlight the proactive measures being taken within the European Union to combat this issue. It will delve into the strategies and initiatives implemented to counteract the influence of disinformation and propaganda.
