His intervention will explore how quantum technologies will reshape encryption, cybersecurity, and the foundations of Europe’s digital infrastructure in the years ahead.
Session description
As a leading quantum scientist and adviser to the European Commission on the EU Quantum Flagship and Europe’s quantum strategy, Professor Calarco offers a European scientific perspective on the next technological paradigm shift. His keynote will examine how quantum technologies will transform encryption, cybersecurity, and communications, and what this means for Europe’s digital infrastructure. The session will also address how anticipating disruptive technological change is essential to Europe’s long‑term competitiveness and responsible strategic autonomy.

The pre-event will be in a form of a master class.
