Action Items:
- Team will contact an industry representative (Lenovo, female), an IEEE/technical community panellist (from Europe) and Minda will introduce Karen Mulberry (focal point) to her CODE contact.
- Karen Mulberry will circulate the revised session teaser with the org team via the mailing list.
- Next call is scheduled for 14 May 2024 from 15:00-15:45 CET with the objective to 1) determine the workshop title, 2) confirm three speakers that will be part of the workshop panel, 2) finalise the session teaser, and 3) decide on next steps regarding the session description.

Reviewed and Proposed New Session Teaser:
Today’s digital transformation continues to have a profound and transformative effect on networks, products, and services, offering great opportunities and posing significant challenges. The current phase of the transformation is fueled by a confluence of technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), 5G, the Internet of Things (IoT), cloud computing, virtual reality, and other immersive technologies. This session will explore the impact of emerging technology, its environmental impact and the EU Green Digital transformation across many sectors and policy domains demonstrating the role of digital and other emerging technologies in offering new opportunities to address pressing sustainability issues, as well as the need to establish safeguards for privacy, security, and safety.

- Agreed to structure the workshop with a Moderator and three or four speakers each to present individual perspectives and then form a panel discussion.
- Reviewed the criteria for Speakers/Panelists
- Need to seek diversity and include experts from a technology perspective, government expectations and sustainability
Action Items:
- Organizing Committee members are to identify potential speakers and share names with the list.
- Next call is scheduled for 23 April at 15:20 CET with the objective to review the list of potential speakers and identify three or four names to invite to be part of the workshop panel.
