I ask the cyborg anthropologist if a system of a artist with a graphics tablet and digital painting software might constitute a cyborg because when I paint on my tablet or animate with my 3D program, I feel like a homeostatic system functioning unconsciously. I also think sometimes there is a fusion of identities between myself and my virtual world that I create.

)) Jonathan Strickland provoked my thoughts with his discussion on What is a technological singularity? suggesting that when we reach the Singularity "the world would become such a different landscape that we can only make the wildest of guesses. Strickland points at Vinge and admits that while it's probably not fruitful to suggest possible scenarios, it's still a lot of fun. Maybe we'll live in a world where each person's consciousness merges with a computer network. Or perhaps machines will accomplish all our tasks for us and let us live in luxury. But what if the machines see humans as redundant -- or worse? When machines reach the point where they can repair themselves and even create better versions of themselves, could they come to the conclusion that humans are not only unnecessary, but also unwanted?" http://electronics.howstuffworks.com/gadgets/high-tech-gadgets/technological-singularity1.htm

Reflecting on this notions I compiled a digital video exhibition with paintings that should never be painted. The works are taken from accredited websites with editorial content well selected by highly ranked professionals with years of experience in film, games and publishing. The exhibition aims to provoke and challenge not only our uncanny valley reflex but our system of values that we live as a legacy to the next generations of artists just in case if it happens for them to be Cyborgs . --I.Franklin (talk) 16:50, 30 May 2015 (CEST)
