YOUthDIG 2026 programme

Session teaser

Every day, we are asked to accept cookies, terms, and permissions — often without fully understanding what we are agreeing to. But what really happens to our data after we click “accept”?

This session explores how personal data is collected, used, and monetised online, and how current frameworks such as the Digital Services Act aim to make the digital environment more transparent and fair. Through an interactive exercise, participants will reflect on their own behaviour and discuss what a more user-friendly and meaningful consent system could look like.

Format

Interactive exercise (simulation/role-play) followed by guided discussion.
