Edgar Brutyan is an analyst at the Institute for Development of Freedom of Information (IDFI) in the department of internet and innovation. He studies the social implications of the internet and analyzes the main gaps and challenges of Georgia's public data ecosystem and digital rights. He also examines best practices for digital transformation around the globe. In addition, Edgar works for the European Union Institute for Security Studies (EUISS) where he curates the Cyber Diplomacy Atlas, focusing on Eastern European and Western Balkan countries. He holds a Bachelor's degree in International Relations from Free University of Tbilisi and is currently studying a one-year non-degree program of Chinese language at Xiamen University, China.
